common sighting around Costa Teguise, with up to 30 birds seen daily




Houbara Bustard
5 different individuals seen on the Teguise Plain



Cream-coloured Courser
Very scarce with a group of seven birds seen on the Teguise Plain. These birds were looked for daily but were very hard to locate and weren't found until the very last morning of the holiday.



Plain Swift
Only small numbers seen feeding over the Golf Course at Costa Teguise with larger numbers of Pallid Swift. One bird in the photo appears to have an abnormal or broken tail.


Hoopoe
A fairly common sighting throughout the island with birds seen most days


Berthelot's Pipit
A very common species throughout the island


Southern Grey Shrike
A very common sighting with birds seen daily on most habitats




Trumpter Finch
A very scarce species with just one sighting of two birds on the Teguise Plain
